God works in such mysterious ways, and sometimes He works in really obvious ways too. God has continuously used the story of the woman at the well from John 4 to pull me closer to Him and teach me something new. That is the first passage of scripture I can ever remember hearing as a child and I didn't understand the idea of Jesus as living water at all. But God is good, and he continued to reveal Himself to me. And I began to grasp that fact that He is more than enough for me, and that His abundant love and saving grace are made available to everyone through His death and resurrection. And this Sunday, my first time at church in Houston, God reached me again through this scripture and reminded me that He knows me and He loves me just the same.Saturday, August 28, 2010

Hi Courtney.
ReplyDeleteI'm Jennifer and I work with your Mom at Alabama World Travel.
I was so wanting to post a comment after looking at your beatutiful pictures and writings - then when I came to this passage about the Woman at the Well, I felt "compelled." That's one of the most precious passages to me in Scripture as God used it at a time I was so desperate for Him that I didn't feel like I could go another step. The facts that He "had" to come through Montgomery, AL one day to meet with me, to refresh me with His living water, that He knows everything about me, that He is sooo much greater than our father Abraham, and sooo much more. What a blessing every time I come across this passage as the years have passed. May God continue to bless in and through your life and your blogs :) ...
